Clifford is President of Science4Sight, a Predictive Analytics Company, Vice President of Fraud Control for Credit One Bank, Chairman of the Board of Directors for Allied Tool and Die, and Director of the Nevada Brain Bee Association.
Cliff is a graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He also holds a MSc in Electrical Engineering from Colorado Technical University with a 4.0 GPA
He has worked in several telecom organisations worldwide (USA, Mexico, Brazil, Jamaica Haiti, El Salvador, and Trinidad) and in Air Force Satellite Mission Control Centers helping support the command and control of the GPS Satellite constellation and the Defense Satellite Communications System.
Cliff to discover the world of Telecom Fraud which led Cliff to help startup a long distance telecom in Mexico called Avantel. Cliff headed up the Fraud department, the Financial Reporting department, and the Billing Operations department. In 1997
In 1999, Cliff was asked to accept a position in Brazilian telecom, Embratel, in their Billing Operations department. A year later, Cliff was given the directive to startup and lead a Telecom Fraud department within Embratel. In 2002, Cliff started Brazil’s first Telecom Fraud cooperative which initiated the sharing of fraud information between competing telecoms in Brazil.
Later in 2005, Cliff was given the position of Head of Business Risk for Jamaican Telecom Digicel. For the next two years, Cliff organized and trained telecom fraud teams in Jamaica, Haiti, El Salvador, and Trinidad.
In 2007, Cliff and his family decided to settle in Las Vegas and Cliff was given the position of Director of Marketing Decision Science for Pinnacle Entertainment, a leading US gaming corporation. In this position, Cliff designed and oversaw the development of Pinnacle’s Marketing Data Warehouse, which served for direct marketing for 7 casinos. Cliff also built and directed a small team of data analysts building predictive solutions for casino marketing.
In 2010, Cliff left Pinnacle to join the predictive analytics consulting company called Opera Solutions and served them as their SME for Telecom and Gaming customers. Such customers were Scientific Games (Bally Technologies), AT&T, and Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino.
In 2013, Cliff left Opera and started his own Predictive Analytics consulting company, Science4Sight which has provided ongoing consulting for Scientific Games, Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino, and several other smaller companies. Cliff has designed and implemented predictive systems that predict how long a customer will play a slot machine, customer sensitivity and propensity towards marketing coupons, customer room reservation value for untracked non-loyalty casino players, social network post sentiment analysis, customer spend prediction for hardware store customers, and call center call list optimization.
In 2015, Cliff accepted the position on the board of directors for Allied Tool and Die, a Phoenix company that provides manufacturing of parts for the aerospace industry. Cliff is currently serving as the Chairman of the Board. Allied Tool and Die’s leading customers include Honeywell, KLX Aerospace, and Space X.
In 2017, Cliff was offered and accepted the position as Vice President of Fraud Control for Credit One Bank. In this position, Cliff heads up the Fraud Strategy team charged with the predictive systems used to detect and stop credit card fraud.
What started as a strong interest in Brain science and Predictive Neural Networks in the early 2000’s led Cliff to create a charitable organization in Las Vegas that yearly organizes and hosts the Las Vegas Brain Bee which is a Neuroscience competition for Las Vegas area high school students (www.nvbrainbee.com) . This organization sends the winner of the yearly competition to the National Brain Bee in Baltimore, Maryland where they compete for the right to represent the US in the International Brain Bee.
